Congratulations to Coach Kurtis Baker! He has been named the Head Boys Soccer Coach for Richardson HS after spending this last season as the interim head coach. He helped lead this year’s young squad to a tie for 4th place in district 8-6A and a play-in game for state playoffs. We are excited about the future of our soccer program. Please read below for a short bio.
Coach Baker was born and raised here in the metroplex. He attended high school at Justin Northwest and played soccer there from 2003-2007. After high school, Coach Baker continued his education and playing career at the University of Dallas. During his time at the University of Dallas, the Men’s soccer team set many team records, played in conference tournaments and made it to the NCAA national tournament. Since then, Coach Baker has been an educator for seven years. He spent 4 years in Garland ISD before moving over to Richardson. Coach Baker started at Richardson West Junior High before coming over to Richardson High School as an assistant for the men’s program. Coach Baker is married to his lovely wife, Kelli and has a young son, Grayson.
