Tori Whitehead is Head Swim Coach for Richardson High School. Tori grew up swimming North Texas and Richardson ISD. She  was one of the fastest age group swimmers in North Texas history. She started swimming competitively in 1994 (age 5). By 1999, she was a TAGS state champion breaststroker. Tori was consistently ranked among the Top 16 swimmers nationally for breaststroke and IM. She competed in multiple Zones, Senior Circuits, Sectionals, and UIL State meets. She has a very keen eye for technique and has been helping to grow the City of Richardson Swim Team program the past few years. Coach Whitehead studied Fine Arts and Illustration at Southern Methodist University.  She went on to receive her M.A. in Fine Arts from the University of Chicago for Stop Motion Animation in Short Films. She still swims and coaches with a Master's group. Tori is invested in technique training as the foundation of fast swimming.
