Athletic Coordinator Announcement

Eagle Parents, Players and Community,

I am very pleased and excited to announce that Mr. Kendrick Holloway has accepted the position as head football coach and athletic coordinator of Richardson High School. 

Coach Holloway is coming to RHS from Berkner High School, where he has served as the associate head football coach and offensive coordinator for the last two seasons and was named the RISD Assistant Coach of the Year in 2021-22. He brings a background as a former college player and coach, with a passion for developing, guiding, and motivating student athletes. From Coach Holloway:

“I’m honored and excited to be the Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach of Richardson High School,” said Holloway. “I look forward to building relationships with all of our Eagle stakeholders and everyone who supports Richardson athletics. Eagle Nation, it is time to Soar to New Heights!”

Our interview team felt that Coach Holloway was a very strong fit for Richardson High School and with the profile we developed with input from our players, staff, parents and community.

Prior to his time at BHS, he was the offensive coordinator at Skyline H.S., leading the offense through several successful seasons, and previously coached receivers and running backs at Abilene Christian University for five seasons. Overall, he has coached teams making the Texas H.S. playoffs seven times. Coach Holloway was an all-conference player collegiately at ACU, played for the Amarillo Venom of the Indoor Football League, and earned an NFL tryout with the Cleveland Browns.

Coach Holloway will begin the process of transitioning into his new role immediately, and will meet with Eagle players tomorrow. We look forward to arranging opportunities for parents, boosters, and our community to meet him in the coming weeks.
